Swing Plus sound quality

Hi,

I've just bought a new Fabia SE 1.0 TSI (110PS)

While i'm delighted with the car, i'm a little disappointed with the sound quality on

the Swing Plus sound system. (i use spotify via apple carplay)

The sound just seems harsh and compressed, with bloated artificial bass. 

I've tried adjusting the balance/ EQ settings but any improvement is hit and miss, depending on the type of music played.

The 'virtual surround' sounds even worse IMO.

Don't get me wrong, i'm no audiophile.

I was more than happy with the sound of the factory fit CD unit on my previous MK2 Fabia (base trim 1.2 HTP)

It was a little grainy, but sounded far more balanced and enjoyable to my ears.

Maybe it just needs a bit of time to 'bed in'.

Is the Amundsen system better in terms of sound?
