Non-progressive/jumpy acelerator

Featured Replies

Hello Fabia Group Members,

I am hoping you can assist me. My mother-in-law has a 2017 1.2 tsi 105bhp Fabia and loves it dearly but there is a mysterious fault with the acelerator pedal/potentiometer. It is not progressive and you have the problem where there is enough not enough revs (and it trys to stall) or it overly revs and you end up roaring away down the road.

Suspect faulty pedal, but wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

Thanks

Max

Is this just when you start from standstill?

 90 or 110 maybe?

Its a 110...sorry... couldn't remember the exact power output.

Its effects the car mostly from stand but the power delivery is not linear.

The car has an anti stall mode which will automatically increase the engine revs when you first lift the clutch pedal up.

This is without anybody touching the throttle pedal.

It only lasts for a second or two.

It can take some getting used to.

I use it to my advantage by not using the throttle when first starting.

This does need some good clutch control though.

Thanks, AG Falco
