I fitted Osram H7 night breaker unlimited 12v 55w about 3 years ago on my 2015 fabia 1.2. I found they were a big improvement on the standard bulbs fitted. I bought a set and after early owners said they were pigs to fit i got my garage to fit them after early owners said they were pigs to fit. Joe

I can vouch for the lights being difficult to fit, but once you've got the hang of the first bulb, its much easier.  The only major issue is the space around the back of the headlights is really tight when trying to get bulbs in, and the other option of taking the bumper off to remove the light clusters isn't really worth the time and effort.  I currently have some LED units fitted, but I'm quite tempted to try some of the higher wattage Osram bulbs.

Have you fitted the new bulbs? Have you found them to be better? I find the performance of the lights to be appalling and am looking at replacement options.

Thanks for the info mate. Do you by any chance have any picture comparisons that you could link me? I've seen about a million different forums posts, some saying yeah it's visibly better, with other saying there is barely a noticeable difference, with barely any posting comparison photos or videos to judge. Thanks

Not long after I bought the car I noticed the lack of light from the headlights.

I replaced all four H7 bulbs with Osram Night breaker's and I also adjusted the headlight aim up to the MOT highest limit.

No Photos from 4 Years ago but no complaints with the lights since the change.

Skoda fit long life bulbs at the factory which last longer but are not as bright.

Thanks, AG Falco

Yes, I've been through 2 sets of Nightbreakers. Each set lasted just over a year.

They are great, but if using the car a lot at night time, they will have that short-is lifespan. ( Because they run brighter / hotter ).

Since the  last set, I've used some Aldi (  or maybe Lidl ) bulbs that were quoting +50% or 75% ( over the statutory minimum ).

They've been great - almost as good as the Nightbreakers, bizarrely. However have not been driving that much at night since, so they're in the car nearly 2 years now.

As regards fitting ... the first time was a mare, but then got phone camera in just to see what the set-up was. Once I got a sense of the layout, then it was breeze - I knew where the locking part was.

Just grip the bulb really tight and growl a little !

Also, I always take out the battery, for doing the nearside bulbs. Popping out the battery is a breeze. It doesn't affect the electronics, though you might have to reset the time on ... I think it was the radio.

I have had to replace 1 Pair of Night Brakers since 2016.

I made a tool up to make the bulb removal / refitting easier.

I haven't needed to remove the battery.

Thanks, AG Falco

Phillips Racing Vision 150%. Run rings round all the Osram bulbs. Try them.
