I've Googled but struggling to find the answer. Can anyone tell me if the hub carriers are alloy or steel in a Mk2 Octavia vRS? (Pre-facelift)

Going from memory, I’m sure my old 08 plate diesel vrs was cast metal. I certainly don’t remember any alloy parts. 

The hub carriers are ferrous.  If you want alloy you need to fit Passat/Superb units.  AudiTT Units also fit but require some additional parts.
