They're a bitch when in the damp and cold, and need a good few miles to warm up before they really start performing. However I've never had my back end step out like this, but your tyres are brand new and will need some scrubbing in.

they were cold, straight out of the garage after fitting. They've already started to melt a bit! They smell good!!!

They smell great, eh? Once you get them scrubbed in a bit they'll be ace. Bit of a waste on a GTD though I think.
