Has anyone upgraded their intercooler and done it themselves? 
 

There are a number of how-to guides based around the Golf however is there anything specific to the Superb that is different?

just check youtube video about intercooler installation. you will get some idea, I would say it is not a DIY job for most of us with basic car knowledges. but the front mount type should be ok for DIY

 I did back in July, put a couple of pics up on thread: What have you done to your Superb today page 54. And as I said then I’d never attempt it again. I followed the Golf R videos on YouTube and it was the same. Thankfully my Forge intercooler didn’t need any trimming but a full 8 hours later it was finally finished and one job I’d not attempt on my own ever again.

Thanks for the feedback. I am expecting it to take a full day. What made it so difficult, anything in particular?

Nothing in particular to be honest, I suppose when I was quoted 3 hours labour for fitting from a specialist I suppose I’d wished I’d gone down that route now.

Fair call. Here in Australia it’s a $500 install so pretty keen to save on that. 
 

I know it’s a full day so going in to it eyes wide open.
