Unable to order a Skoda Superb 2.0 TSi 272 L&K

Featured Replies

Today I tried in vain today to order a Superb Estate 2.0 TSI 272 L&K, with the dealer saying that "requested model is not currently showing on the Skoda ordering system".  When I was on the Skoda Configurator, on the car card, it says "THis engine is only available from stock".

In essence, does this mean that there aren't any 272 engines available and my order can't be processsed until the updated 280 engine goes online ?

That is exactly what it means.

So best contact Skoda UK Customer Services who are the Importers and ask are there any in Stock in the UK or intransit.

(Not all dealerships will bother if the cars are not destined to them or their Motor Group, and so other Dealership might have ones coming to them.)

Thank you, I'll do that.

If its of help to anyone, I've just found out that the 280ps engine is now available to order and that the lead time is 10-12 weeks.

Placing an order tomorrow (hopefully!) for a 280hp L&K.  They are using the 272hp spec for the Skoda finance quote, but these are only available from stock. New factory orders are all 280hp.

@JayB_UK

Welcome to the forum.

Is this for delivery to you before the end of the year?

Is that at a guaranteed price if there are any changes after December because of Tariffs but not if Skoda change the pricing in 2020?

Delivery is estimated at 10 weeks (although I'm guessing more like 12, so probably March 2021).  The Skoda UK website states: "**We guarantee not to pass on post-Brexit tariffs to orders placed with your Retailer before 17.30 on the 31st December 2020. Excludes SUPERB iV and OCTAVIA iV. Retail customers only. Subject to taking delivery on the date communicated by the retailer. Talk to your Retailer for full details. Final price is at the discretion of your Retailer."  but you can be certain I'll clarify that with them!

Update on this, Brexit price guaranteed, and ordered ahead of Superb price increase (I think next week). Update today from dealer to say Build Week allocated, 3rd week in Jan.

is that for the 280hp engine ?

Yes, 272hp only available from stock, all factory orders are 280hp.

That's really good news for you regarding the lead time - unfortunatley for me, a 10-12 week lead time was to long long and I had to look elsewhere.

As a related aside, IIRC, the 280hp engined car is cheaper, more economical and produces lower emissions than the 272 hp version that is replaced. So, win, win & win !

Understandable, and that's the build week, so still expecting delivery end Feb/first week March at earliest by the time it's been transported/prepped etc.

Update from dealer that it's arrived in UK, so delivery next week or two.  Was hoping to hold off for March registration but having it sitting there for a couple of weeks would be frustrating to say the least!
