Superb Bi Xenon lights shut off MK II 2014

Featured Replies

Hi, both Xenon bulbs are turning off at regular intervals, about 3 minutes. dies out in about 10 seconds and lights up again

Recently changed bulbs on both sides when one was dead, and the other side almost dead (Absolutely purple) (Thanks Skoda for disassembling the front of the car for this :))

As the lights were so bad and I have not driven the car in the dark until now, the fault was probably there before the bulbs was replaced.

Could it be the ignition modules ? In so case it is strange that both lights turn off at the same time.

Could it be the RLS module ?

Any tips granted :)

Ballast breaking down when warm. Lights go off, ballast cools down and lights come. Then repeat.

Just a guess on my part though.

How did you manage to do the bulbs did you go through the wheel arch or take bumper off I need to swap a bulb and it looks a nightmare job.

Danny:

Interresting idea that I will check out further.
But I have doubts.

As each bulb have seperate ballasts. And they turn on and off as a pair.

reddy;

Sorry, no good news, i hired a friend to do the job that has a car lift.

I was told it was both bumper off and wheel arch out.

I've just done both xenon's on my superb not as bad a job as it looks it's just wheel off ,dirt guard off then you can get to the third screw and get the back off the headlamp
