Light issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Need some help with an issue on my škoda octavia 2011 1.6 tdi cayc

So, I have xenon lights with adaptive function, but while driving I noticed that on the left side (drivers side) headlight had dropped to low position. After re-starting the car  several times the problem persists - the right side does it's dance properly ( down, right, back to center and up), but the left side is already on the down position, and just goes to left and back to center and never goes up.

There is no indication of fault un dashboard.

I removed the bulb and tried to move it with my fingers but it held strongly in its position, so no mechanical damage.

Also tried when light switch is on automatic position, but with no luck.

In a few days I will get to read faults, but shouldn't there be something on the dashboard?

Tried to remove the battery, but also no luck?

Im starting to think a faulty ( the tiny electric ) motor in the bulb, but shouldn't there also be a fault in the dashboard?

Any ideas on where to look next?

Started the car in the morning, saw the usual dance, all good now.

Dunno what was this all about.
