Bilstein PSS9 B14 coilovers

Featured Replies

Anyone got these fitted? Gettonf very mixed reviews on them!

Ordered a set in black friday sales as I find the oem shocks pretty useless to be honest. Even with hr springs and whiteline arb. Too crashy and vague.

Some say the b14 are brill and some say they're really stiff.

I don't mind stiff, I just don't want to be pinging around in my seat when driving to work etc.

B12 kit was stunning, firm but forgiving.

Can’t comment on a b14, but I don’t they’re terrible.

I fitted PSS9 to my old Mk4 Golf GT TDI in 2003.  The kit was the same for both petrol and diesel Golfs.  The extra weight of the diesel engine meant that the ride quality of the front end was fine but I found the rear to be far too hard, even with the damping adjustment would right off.  That was on 205/55x16 Continental Sport Contact so hardly rubber band tyres.

Cheers, yeah I've gone with H&R monotube in the end, cost a bit more but sounds like the rears don't need maxing out to get the arch sat on top of the tyre with H&R.

Maxing the B14's out sounds like it'd be too firm.
