Inlet manifold

Featured Replies

Just had a new inlet manifold fitted to my Octavia vrs petrol. However the new manifold has 3 pipe connections instead of 2 like the old one. Does anyone know what the extra connection does ? I have looked online and found a pipe with a filter 06H133583F shown going to the extra connection however talking to a Skoda dealer they could not explain what the pipe did or if it was needed. Can I leave it blank or should the pipe be fitted to it ? The car runs fine without it.

A photo will probably help.  Where is the extra connection exactly?  See my thread here for a photo of my assembled inlet manifold believed to be 2011 original.

There's an unconnected one on yours @TheClient pointing off towards nearside of the car at that end?  Presumably there's a blanking bit of plastic inside?

Yes, the whole port there is blanked.  I've not ever seen it connected even in the US spec CCTAs.

@GULF1 Is that what you're referring to?

Hi Wino yes that's the one points towards the air filter side.

Hi the client. Just looked at your photos and can see the pipe connection I am referring to on your photo, yours has nothing connected to it either. It's the pipe sticking out on the right hand side in your photo.

Yes, blanked off on every gen 2, EA888 2.0 I've seen. Is your new one blanked as well?

Yes just looked up pipe using a mirror and a torch and the pipe is blanked . Thanks everyone.

No idea when or if it's ever used.
