Outlook Express and Blocked Files

Featured Replies

Outlook Express seems to be blocking tif files and jpg files that I receive in emails.

Can anyone tell me where I can change this setting?

I also have Norton on my PC so I guess it could be that doing it?

Tools - options - security

Untick the "block external images....." box

Thank you - all sorted now.

Just in case anyone else is having the problem, the tick box I have reads "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus", but Dr. Z's advice was close enough for me

Well I was on the right page at least :D

Also, if you get a .exe attachment that you need, there is a setting in the registry that holds all of the excluded file extensions... You just remove .exe from this list.
