Hi from a new member!

Hello! I am a newcomer here who has been searching for answers on this forum for a few years, but registered my user a couple of weeks ago. I am Norwegian, so a lot of things from here is mirrored on my car, but this forum has been a nice resource for me.

I own an orange 2007 Fabia Mk2 1.6 BTS Petrol which is close to 185k miles / 300k km. The car was rebuilt by it's first owner to run on LPG gas and now has a dual fuel system which automatically picks LPG when the engine coolant system is warm enough. Given the age and mileage on this car, I am planning on giving it only cheap repairs and try to do as much as possible myself. Surely I'll learn something in the process. I have recently acquired a Haynes Workshop Manual, and hope this will help me in my efforts. The car recently passed our equivalent of the MOT and is therefore legal to drive for two more years. The car has been good to me since 2012, and I have been a happy owner most of the time.

I have done some small things myself on the car until now, like changing rear wiper motor and driver side electronic door lock. The key no longer fits all the way into the mechanical lock cylinder because it has never been used, so I have ordered a new  original one that i hope to install as soon as possible. I recently had a blown alternator fuse, and since then, i am experiencing quite a few issues that i believe to be linked to the electrical system.

Just saying hello. You'll likely be hearing from me, please forgive my guaranteed amateur questions beforehand.

Hei and welcome :-)
