DQ 380 7 speed wet

Featured Replies

Hi all....i'm new here. Just got myself an Ocatvia rs 180 with the 7 speed Wet Clutch DSG. Feels much different to the 6 speed in my old Jetta 155 sport. Kind feels like a traditional slush box. Don't get me wrong, shifts quickly enough, but it feels as thought a torque converter is at work here. It isn't as rapid or precise as the 6 speed. Anyone had or aware of the same issue? Can i get a tune somewhere?

Lot of remap places that will do gearbox mapping as well. Depend on where you are. You can even have a look on the dtuk website as they do some stuff .

Just to confirm: there is 100% no torque converter in the DQ381 gearboxes, they are very wet in there though 😄

You might find that over time it will change and adjust slightly to your driving style.

I find on some that there's no real "go between" with the gearing. 1-4 are really short then 5-7 are really long. Accidentally drop from 5th at 2000rpm around 60mph to find 4th almost has you red-linning 🤦🏻‍♂️
