Please can you help me.

I have just bought a 2018 Octavia Hatchback 1 litre Petrol SE. I have no paper user manual. I have downloaded a manual online but it describes use of car features I do not have. How can I find which features my specific car has installed?

Any help you can provide would be very useful.

Hi Richard; did you buy it from a Skoda dealership?  If so, ask if they will supply you with the 'car data'. This is a pdf file containing a list of all the option codes built into your specific car and descriptions of them.  If you didn't buy it through a dealership, you can obtain this file yourself via a web service called erWin, but it's a minor faff as you have to register on the site and pay a small fee for access to this information.

Another option is to download the user sales brochure and work out the specs of your car / options based on that - Thats how I have done it in the past

This problem of manuals describing features you don't have exists with every car manual I have ever seen. Car manufacturers only print one version of the manual for all the variants of each model. But have Skoda really stopped including a paper manual or has the previous owner just failed pass it on?
