Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I’ve literally spent hours and hours trying to find the answer to this one, popped into Skoda Botley earlier today and was told just buy it online and plug it in and there was no recoding required. It felt like they weren’t that interested as I wasn’t buying a new car.

I am trying to find out how to add the Bluetooth Module to my 2010 L&K Octavia Mk 2.

under the Drivers Seat I have the seat control module (3c0959760e) and a gap under this where I believe the Bluetooth Module can sit?

If I buy the 3C0035729E Interface Handsfree Kit Fse VW Caddy EOS Golf 5 Passat 3C which I can get for about £35 where do I plug this in? Under? Next to? Does it plug into the seat module, also do I need extra leads to connect things up?

sorry for all the questions

Any help gratefully received

Also need to know which stereo you have.

The module connects to the back of the stereo via an extra harness.

There's also a microphone that slots into the interior light.

Cheers @Phil-E it’s the Bolero, 6 disc, MP3 - not sure of model number I’m afraid.

so the module plugs into the back of the head unit then the wire runs down and is stored under drivers seat?

Yes. Although you don't have to fit it under the seat. There is actually enough room behind the stereo and glovebox to mount it and it saves running the wires down to under the seat.

There's a list around somewhere with all the Bluetooth part numbers and the protocols and functions that they support.

Cheers @Phil-E I’ll have a rummage for it, cheers.

does the eBay image I shared in the first picture look like the right thing?

It looks about right. They all look physically the same and with the same connector on. But it comes down to what's inside and if it's compatible with your car and stereo.

P.s. it will need coding in by the way. So the garage was incorrect.
