Really need some advice before I lose my mind! My driver side low beam (xenon) on my 2012 Vrs started flickering and then went out. So first off changed the bulb, no joy. Then changed the bulb and ballast and no joy. Tried the other unit in and it worked. Tried another ballast and two other bulbs in and no joy. Anyone had similar problems and if so what was the fix. Hoping it could be something relatively simple and not as expensive as a whole new unit! TIA

So swapping bulbs/ballasts around you got a partial result.  I'd look at the wiring and look for a bad earth or partially broken wire locally external to the light and check the connector.  Its been a while since i had my Oct 2 but the lights come out easily, if the plugs are the same you could swap the entire headlights over to test.

 

Just remember those ballasts run at a high voltage (definitely at start up) so don't tinker when the lights are on!

Swapped the whole units over and the other one works fine so it’s not the wiring or connector. So something internal to the headlight as I swapped bulb and ballast and they are fine in the working headlight. Only thing I can think is the harness from ballast to bulb but can’t seem to find one that fits.
