MK3 Reverse camera..

Featured Replies

Hi all. New to the forum I have had a FL VRS for a few months. I know this has probably been done over and over. First major thing I want to do is fit a reversing camera. The picture of the one I have brought, has anyone done a good guide for fitting one like this can't seem to find on a search. Thanks in advance Joss

The first post covers post of the wire routing etc:

The second post is specifically about genuine highline cameras such as the one you look to have bought:

Hope that helps and at least give you a starting point!

Afternoon.

Thanks for the reply. I did look at both of these but did not realise the highline one was same as one I have on the way as I thought one I had just had plugs on the end no bare wires.

I shall wait for it arrive and see

I just completed this installation on my facelift Octavia mark 3 estate. I used the MQB Wire + Camera A. I had to go and get a flexible net curtain rod as suggested by others to pull the cable through the tailgate. Otherwise it was very straight forwards even though I've not done anything like this on a car before. I ordered some bog standard trim removal tools at the same time, which were also a necessity.
