Octavia Limp mode...P245800 ..DPF regeneration bank 1

All I wanted for Christmas.....2010 1.6 CR Octavia dpf warning light...glowplug flashing.....engine refs limited to 2500rpm...VAGDPF shows Oil Ash at 54.47g....OBDEleven shows Particulate Filter Regeneration Duration hard fault.

"Service regeneration during driving" initiated via OBDEleven adaption menu and car revs freely through all gears while driving.....

Take it out of service mode and car returns to limp mode.

With an Ash Level that high i guess its time for a new DPF. Anyone had their dfp replaced...one with a "Type Approval" non OEM component? Dont really want to go to a Skoda dealer and get ripped off, would rather give my custom to a local independant garage.
