Octavia 2 Estate rear wash hose split, wiper failure
aquaman68 posted a topic in General Maintenance
Hi, My rear wash has failed as the hose has split in the flexi boot between the body and hatch. Anyone know the internal diameter of the pipe as I'm considering a repair joiner or complete pipe replacement. Also rear wiper does not function even with the boot closed, and boot internal lights only function sometimes. OBDEleven confirms no fault with the stalk switch and no recorded faults with any modules including the Comfort Module. Haynes manual schematics shows fuse (Trailer?) as one of the feeds to the wiper motor? Have i got a dodgy boot microswitch? ..random blown fuse? failed wiper motor without fault code recorded?....any ideas folks? -

Cheers TheClient, I was just being a skinflint as i got a £10 Halfords voucher by email.have a Laser windback that fits Fords but the adaptors dont match my Octy pistons. Both are 3/8" drive so might use a cube with the driver handles off this! -
Just had my car DPF Regen issue sorted by a local garage...after much head scratching. I had DPF, MIL and Glow Plug lamp flashing with the car refusing to regen even when i commanded Service Mode driving regen using an OBDEleven. The preconditions were not being met as the pre-turbo temp sensor output was erratic, and the DPF Diff pressure sensor was defective. To be fair they did have the car since 24th Dec and only charged me 3 hours labour and £180 for sensors. £500 in total but did stop the DPF becoming completely Ash blocked

Get a cheap OBD dongle....and crank up VAGDPF........this will be able to give you an idea as to whether the DOF is regenning

Varaderoguy cheers for your response. Car does nowhere near the milage that it used to. 9 mile work commute is probably killing the DPF. I can put it in service mode but a request for a forced driving regen didnt seem to make ant difference. Wonder if it will passive regen in service mode if i leave it in that mode long enough?- 5 replies

All I wanted for Christmas.....2010 1.6 CR Octavia dpf warning light...glowplug flashing.....engine revs limited to 2500rpm...VAGDPF shows Oil Ash at 54.47g....OBDEleven shows P245800 Particulate Filter Regeneration Duration Bank 1 hard fault. EOL Service mode selected ising OBDEleven and car revs freely through all gears while driving.... An attempt made to carry out "Service regeneration during driving" initiated via OBDEleven adaption menu .but no regeneration cycle starts. Take it out of service mode and car returns to limp mode. Soot is 26g Oil ash is 54g Time since last regen is now 1267 mins Anyone have any ideas or experience of this failure as have now left the car with a garage who are temporarily stumped. Cheers in advance. Gaz Quote

With an Ash Level that high i guess its time for a new DPF. Anyone had their dfp replaced...one with a "Type Approval" non OEM component? Dont really want to go to a Skoda dealer and get ripped off, would rather give my custom to a local independant garage.
