Do you require anything specific?

Ive recently bought a complete cluster but bought the incorrect one, so if there are any parts you need, I may have some parts you require... my spare cluster isn’t the same as the one you’ve got listed, but I believe many of the parts are the same

The problems is it must be change the cluster complete due to error discount for some while and return and no one here no one can repare it.. In Saudi Arabia here we suffer due to stupid mechanic or any techninian

I searched enough in eBay but I get some and not shipping to Saudi and very expensive than the other seller

Maybe try a skoda dealer as I'm not familiar with shopping in your country.

Have you checked for fault codes using vcds? Looks like the cluster might be loosing can bus communication which could be down to wiring.

At the very least, I'd check the short wiring loom that connects to the rear of the instrument cluster for damage.

I already purchase for vcds and may recivived tomorrow.. But situation is every morning I have this problem after I running little but it self return normal again .. And when the cluster be like this video the air conditioner stop working by it self only compressor .. I don't know why

UK cluster would be primarily MPH Speedo dial. This is mostly a UK forum so that's what you're likely to get by asking here. Would that be a problem with KSA registration?

I got my spare part from TPS in the end as they were the only place to buy new at a reasonable price.

I’d be tempted to try directly in Germany for KMH clocks, so eBay Poland, Germany, Lithuania etc as you’ll get KMH clocks through those sites.

You can use translation sites too so you can see what’s on offer

I’d be inclined to think that potentially this is a water ingress issue within the bulkhead and it’s showing signs within 5e electronics of the car now.

I hope you get it solved.

Kindly do you know different between last word written in model number.. Cause I didn't found q shipping to Saudi Arabia away find m&k the same number but end by this word not Q which I need but the cluster forced me to purchase immediately .. What is different in setting inside.. Thank you for helping

It SHOULD be okay, the suffix (letter at the end of the part number) is the revision, although A-Q are a lot of revisions!

These differences will relate to PCB/component/manufacturing changes however the basic design remains the same and all revisions SHOULD be interchangeable.

You can tell us how you get on with it.

On instrument clusters, the software changes between revisions, going newer is normally OK but I wouldn't suggest going older...

You have the newest version (SW:06xx) for the Octavia, as you want petrol and kph, the obvious options are:

- 1Z0 920 843 Q (non-VRS)

- 1Z0 920 843 R (vRS)

The only difference between these are the dial backgrounds and the max speed.

With the right knowledge and tools, it's possible to upgrade SW:04xx clusters to SW:06xx and convert TDi to petrol reusing your existing dial backgrounds.

SW:06xx options - would need converting to petrol:

- 1Z0 920 843 T vRS TDi

- 1Z0 920 843 S non-vRS TDi

SW:04xx options - would need upgrading and possibly converting:

- 1Z0 920 843 N vRS TDi

- 1Z0 920 843 M non-vRS TDi

- 1Z0 920 843 L vRS petrol

- 1Z0 920 843 K non-vRS petrol

Regardless of which option you choose, you'll also need a decent auto-locksmith to switch the cluster, correct the odometer and transfer the immobiliser data. Make sure you have backed up your ABS coding!!!

Good luck....

Can I make it for transfer immoblizer data and abs coding by vcds program. Or can not and how :)

VCDS will let you create an autoscan which includes the ABS coding, it will also let you recode the ABS module if needed.

It cannot do immobilizer or odometer correction - you should find a specialist :)

Hello my friend kindly I already purchase the new one cluster how I can get pin code for new and old cluster by vag-tacho.. Which I purchase this cable also

I've never used VAG-tacho and I don't think the common v5.0 supports a 2012 Octavia.

I think you'll need something like VVDI2 or VAG-tacho with the VDO2012 update. Neither are cheap so I'd definitely suggest a decent auto-locksmith is a better (cheaper) plan...

I already purchase vag tacho.. So never mind could you plz send link of purchasing this and video to know how to make it?? ..

Thank you really

Sorry, I'm not an auto-locksmith so I haven't got any videos showing how to use their tools :(

I'd suggest you contact the makers of both tools to check they are suitable for your car and see if they have a guide:

https://www.xhorsetool.com/ who sell vvdi2

https://maltchev.com/kiti/index.htm seems to be the creator of vag-tacho but I'm not sure

Good luck!
