Hi fella octavia owners!

 

I got my 2016 1.0tsi dsg octavia yesterday and got some roof racks with it. However i noticed that the previous owner had broken one of the red plastic parts that keeps the clamp closed ( can be seen on this video at 23sec https://youtu.be/fgvKYX1Qp6U?t=23).

Is there possibility to get this part separately bought or where i could find one? Also the end caps are missing so would also need to buy those. Not sure if it is vice to fix those genuine ones or should i just buy new universal ones.

Genuine roof racks go for peanuts on eBay. I paid £30 for a pair when I got my Octavia.

 

They're bars in the video so assuming that's what you mean there's a pair on eBay for £9.80 with 21 hours to go and no bids (+£8.50 postage).
