This is an article from a recent 'Car Mechanics' magazine. I thought some members may find it of interest.

This has been well documented before in various sections on this forum.
Apparently my dealer will do a full Haldex service including cleaning the mesh filter on the pump for £148 but only if you ask, or just the standard  haldex oil change for £79 if you don’t.

That seems an outrageous price for a small amount of additional work.  I had the discussion about cleaning the gauze strainer with the service manager in West End Škoda in Dunfermline.  She disappeared into the workshop where she and the head tech looked at the schematic for the Haldex.  She then quoted me £86.00, for a Haldex service on my 2016 Yeti, i.e. an additional £7.00 for the cleaning.

I was only quoting the price for the work to actually be  carried out at West End Skoda Edinburgh from this post..

Fantastic. All power to Pamela at WES Dunfirmline in that case. I suspect that I was charged a higher charge at Edinburgh because 1) Car is under 3 years old (and Skoda UK don't subsidise newer cars and 2) they didn't know how much time and effort it would take. Ill speak with Pamela this week and ask if the work in cleaning the filter also allowed for repriming of the Haldex Pump plus new seals.
