RS - Establishing Primary User

Hi Folks, first post and asking for help......

 

I had my Kodiaq RS delivered at the start of December '20, after waiting nearly 6 months for production. It's a great piece of kit, but I'm having an issue with the SW, user interface, infomat, whatever you think we should call it.

 

I am registered on the mySkoda website, skoda-connect, and my user profile is found when I login to the car at startup. The car is in my garage, but marked as  not activated. When I follow the activation instructions, try to assign me as the Primary User, it fails. I had a ticket open with Customer Service for the past 6 weeks and was finally told to go to the showroom to get it fixed. The showroom reset factory settings, reinstalled the app on my phone, but the same again. They told me to contact Customer Service.......

 

Anybody else had trouble with this?

I would enjoy the new car and stop worrying about Skoda Connect/ My Skoda app, or whatever Skoda wants to call it this week. Even when it is working it’s pretty useless anyway, unless honking the horn and flashing the lights remotely floats yer boat :)

I have had the Kodiaq for only two days and I too am beginning to think that the my Skoda app is completely useless. It looks like it was made by a novice programmer.
I am also struggling with functionality problems and I realize that there are serious gaps in programming behind it, I have been a computer engineer for over 20 years and I know what I am talking about. The impression I got is that the entire Skoda Connect system is very precarious and poorly built.
Too bad, because the car looks very well done, but the remote connectivity system is is truly to be forgotten.:envy:

Hi I got my skoda Kamiq on the 25th of January this year and I can't activate primary user either. Done the same things as you and won't activate. Been in contact with customer service and they have been trying to get the manufacturer to help. They asked for video evidence of me try to set it up and the message coming up with when trying to activate. It has been a very frustrating few weeks with no results. The car is booked in for the 19th February for diagnostics to try and fix it but told them if its not sorted I want another car. I have paid 30.000 for this car and 17 features are blocked including the SOS button. I am disabled and the SOS is vital as it came in handy last year when I had the Karoq

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the exact issue.
