Anyone else had this issue?

I used obdeleven app to enable Scandinavian DRLs (I.e. rear lights on with DRLs)

tgat worked fine

 

but, I now have two errors on the cars screen and binnical 

 

“check rear fog light left hand side”

and

”check rea fog light right hand side”

 

checked and the right hand (only fitted) is working OK

 

so has anyone else had this or a work around? If not I will remove the Scandinavian DRLs change

How did you change the coding?
Manually or with the one click function?

With the one click option

Thats more than likely the issue then, there are many reports of the one click option changing additional coding that doesn’t need changing.... and not un coding it all again if you revert back to standard.

 

This is the reason why ALL coding should be physically changed by 'long coding’ or ‘adaptations’ and not the one click method.

So, what’s the options? Reset to factory and start again?

 

You can try... but as I said previously it may not go back to how it was.

I believe that OBDeleven has a 'history' file somewhere and can also make a 'backup' of the adaption channels. Are you able to find/create these and post them?

 

If we can see how your car is currently configured and ideally what changes have been made, we should be able to get you sorted

That looks more like a scan of all the modules.

 

I was expecting the history to show a list of changes, as it does in this thread: https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/97/history

I will have another look, I didn’t see tgat view in eitger iOS or android..

looks like  I was blaming the Scandinavian DRL one touch application wrongly.

 

still had the rear fog light error even after uninstalling the scandinaviannDRl app.

 

so, I then removed 

1) DRL with sripes

2) coming home lights via fog

3)DRL settings in head unit

 

 And surprise, the error has gone away.

 

so now to find out which of the three is causing the rear fog light errors

 

I’d suggest a better use of time would be just leaning how to do these changes yourself.  None of the ones you’ve listed are particularly difficult to achieve. Ditch the one touch apps.

Hi mate I was looking at the post and just wondered I'm thinking of doing the same to my Skoda Octavia mark 3 which I bought last year it is a brand new car and I was thinking of putting on this Scandinavian lighting obviously I will buy a obd11 just out of interest did you get all your issues sorted out it looks a bit scary to me there are only two things I need to do on my car are turn the stop and start off  put on Scandinavian drl all advice would be thankful and should I buy the pro version or just the basic version of the obd11 not going to be doing a lot of coding or anything like that that thanks a lot

Skoda (actually VAG) have disabled all the known tweaks that disabled stop/start - because of dieselgate and WLTP issues.

Yes, the issue was stripes with DRL, in fact OBD11 have removed that one touch application, so it seems the issue is there

I got a mark 3    is this new for the mark 4 that prevent you from deleting stop and start but I'm sure somebody somewhere will be able to put a code in in the near future thank you for your input

It's from around MY19 or MY20 if I remember correctly rather than during a model change 😕

Yes, even the later Mk3 Octavia cannot have stop/start disabled.

Ok then I will leave you for a little while just curious what do you mean by stripes what does that exactly mean I'm just interested so at this present moment cannot turn on Scandinavian drl and cannot turn off stop and start on this present car help me in the future somebody like a oBD11 will work around it much happier now I know where I stand
