Bump stop

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone help ? I recently had some new rear bump stops fitted to my VRS as the original ones were badly worn. I sourced original ones from Skoda main dealer. However after fitting the ride is now worse ie “ bouncy ‘ If the correct bump stops were supplied ( I have checked with them) what could be the problem ? It seems that they should be 118 mm in length.

Seems long for rear stops. Sure they're not fronts?

If all OK then I'd suspect failed damper units.

Sorry pressed submit. My shocks on rear on my 2010 were shot. Could push them all the way in and no damping.

Bilsteins now, like a new car.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I also think that the dampers are probably past their sell buy date. Any recommendations ?

I put Bilsteins front and rear. So much nicer. Not the cheapest shock but, good.

Rears were 92 delivered
