1.2 TSI high mileage reliability – 125,000 miles

In 2015  a friend of mine bought a 2011 1.2 TSI Octavia Estate DSG with 60,000 miles on the clock. The car has now done 125,000 miles, averaging around 11,000 miles a year. It has been reliable and still runs well. Servicing has average around £250 a year though there was a big bill last year when new brake discs/drums and shock absorbers all-round were needed. Impressed overall.

Is the long-term reliability of the 1.2 TSI engine (and DSG 'box) shared by other owners?
