What model is it because my 2016 SE I had to pat just over £200 extra for factory privacy glass but my 2019 Sportline Plus and current 2020 SEL both came with factory privacy glass for rear windows and rear hatch window.

That will be factory tinted glass then so expensive to change to clear glass.

On the edges of the rear window there is a black ceramic print with a series of small dots. If the tint is even across them it's tinted glass, if there are small imperfections it's a film.

Same logic with the skoda logo along the bottom edge of the door glass.

Agreed, I've just found an old brochure and it's down a privacy glass.

Oh no! We have been quotes nearly £900 to change any ideas? As you can imagine haven’t been able to work the taxi since March as no work and we thought we would apply for a school run and they want clear windows?

Cheapest way to change them would be to see if you can obtain a set from a scrap/salvage yard.

@Amandak. Have you really spent time trying to find out if your glass was tinted or had a tint film  applied without trying to actually feel for the film and remove it?

What a bizarre requirement. I have a 2016 model and the privacy glass in the rear was standard. As a passenger it takes away any bright sun, keeps rear passengers cool, but allows them to see out perfectly. I'm not seeing why it needs to be clear?

Apologies, this doesn't help the OP, I'm just trying to understand the reasoning behind the requirement.
