I just did scan of the car with OBD11 app and i see i have updates due

 

• 1.5 TSI Engine software version 5472 and now 9752 is available
• Automatic Transmission software version 1615 and now 1622 is available

 

Standard 3 year warranty runs out in 3 days, 2 year warranty extension then kicks in. Do you know what these updates are and if i can get dealer to carry this out for free?

sw v. 9752 was available in autumn 2019.

thank you, annoyingly Skoda decided not to do this update in January of 2020 when i paid for the service

What do Engine software updates get you exactly? Any noticeable changes (fuel economy, power delivery, etc) or?

In the case of 1.5, these are attempts to fix old problems.  (kangaroo and power loss at start).  But often, for example with me, that doesn’t fixed kangaroo, but increased fuel consumption...
