Skoda fabia advice

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I am about to buy my first fabia 2019 plate from a dealer, please can I have some advice?

Upon seeing it today I noticed the drivers side footwell felt bit damp there were some droplets on the seatbelt and door panel. The corner of the drivers seat on right side felt damp too. The car salesman brushed this off as some water got in this morning when they moved the car etc. He did state he would get someone to have a look Monday before I pick it up but I am worried because I had a car from this dealer before that had issues (they are letting me part exchange this car back to them and switching my finance deal to this car).

What does everyone think could it be a simple leak or something more serious?

Welcome to the forum.

It is very possible that it is something that the salesperson needs to go see the Workshop Manager about and get rectified.

If you do a search you will find the threads in the Mk3 section which are often about the passenger side and the door seals and wet floor.

There can be drivers door seal issues at the roof and the cause of water ingress. If this sales car is just wet because of them opening the door to move the car then they can get it in and get it dry properly and then spend some time watering the car and see that there is no further problems.
