Hello!

Featured Replies

Recently joined Briskoda as I've purchased a very dirty and unloved 06 Fabia VRS and so far this forum has been a valuable asset to helping me fix all the broken bits!

Im a Mechanic by trade so I love to fettle on with my car and after a weeks ownership its already received new brakes and a new wheel bearing to get rid of the constant banging which has driven me so wild.

So far the Skoda has been a really fun little car and has endless possibilities unlike my Mk1 Clio which Im trying to keep relatively stock,

I look forward to chatting to you all and no doubt asking many a question when Im stuck halfway through a job!

Welcome, handy to have a project after work. Odd how we do that, I work in computers and despite being sick to the teeth of them, I find myself tinkering all hours.

MK1 Clio... I almost had a Clio, can't recall, would've been a peppy one; peppy for it's day. I think I ended up in a primera GT, or maybe it was before that... ack, don't get old ;)

Welcome to the community and skoda.

I tend to get stressed at work because I hate having a deadline but when its just me working on my own car in my own time I love it, no pressure, nice cup of tea and a few biscuits too :)

My Clio is a 96 Ph3 1.2 and I absolutely love it, tape deck, windy windows and the obligatory leaky sunroof however after two years of daily driving it I started to miss having some (not all ;) )

of the modern bits, it just about wheezed to 70 if you were going down hill, in fifth, full throttle, with the wind behind you  just so happened my neighbour was ready to sell her Fabia and I picked it up, and Im slowly fixing all the bits that have been broken since she bought.

The wheel bearing and shaft were banging for so long the last piece of advice she gave me was "turn the radio up, it covers the noise" but I sharp fixed it cause I can't stand knocking and banging haha.
