Evening All

Just signed up to the forum.

On my second Skoda and thought it would be a good idea to join in.

From Steeton in W Yorks and have other car interests, but like fool I bought an Octavia Estate Scout last week.

Ex Ambulance and has been a nightmare since purchase.

Will be asking stupid questions soon.

Mark

Welcome. No such thing as stupid questions - only stupid answers ;)

Hi

Nothing but trouble, the turbo seized after only 30 miles of delivery and the seller is ignoring me.

Getting out of the car all of the crap left in was a nightmare and I now have electrical troubles.

Most of the plastic parts in the car have either broken tabs or screw holes that look crap.

Still trying to find a replacement rear seat unit for the missing bits.

The paintwork is ruined by the monkeys who took the graphics off.

I had the piece of **** delivered due to the covid restrictions and wish I had rejected it there and then, OK I would have lost my deposit and the delivery charge but I wouldn`t have a lemon to throw more money at.

The turbo has been a very big expense as all the underneath of the car has to be removed just to get at the parts, it now has a serious oil leak and everything is coming back off today to investigate.

Hope yours is better than mine.

All the best

Mark

Sorry to hear that. Early days here but ...  So far so good here and some of the electrical system is staying. eBay any help on resolution?

Got it from juligpotts in Telford, motor dealer so fleabay say i`m out of time to complain.

Had car delivered early March and spent time stripping out the chopped off wiring and the redundant cabinets in my spare time.

Then assessed what trim was missing or broke and I wanted to replace with good bits.

Insured it for April 1st an on the way to tax it at post office it went into limp mode.

Rang the local Skoda garage but they were too busy at the time, plus I didn`t get it from them.

Had lots of tests done and it came back as seized turbo, which was full of crud, it was taken off and cleaned but the bearings are out of tolerance so got a low miles fleabay one.

That was fitted over the weekend and on the test run there is oil dripping from the sump guard, so another strip and search today.

What a money pit.

Wish I had lost my deposit £300 and rejected it at delivery.
