AMF engine code (I'm confused)

Featured Replies

Hi all again. Still having issues with my AMF. Turbo isn't boosting correctly, it's a bit irratic and eventually leads to underboost and limp mode that's reset by turning off the ignition. I've tried a replacement vacuum block as a cheap 2nd hand one can be picked up for peanuts but still no joy. I'm almost certain it's to do with the wastegate leaking boost. I thought maybe a faulty boost control solenoid(no.7 2nd pic) however.....on my engine I have a vacuum pipe going from the diaphragm on top of the turbo to the vacuum block (no.3 first pic). I thought AMF turbos were pressure actuated? There appears to be no boost control solenoid.....I'm just real confused as to the set up and where my issue could lie.

I guess it could be a wiring fault on N75?

Will try to find which wires are involved, hang on.

Blue/black wire on pin 4 is a 12V feed (whenever fuel pump relay is energised) to N75.

Brown/white wire on pin 6 is the control connection to engine ECU pin 62.
