Help with JB4 location?

Featured Replies

Hi, apologies for what I think must be a newbie question but having trolled around I've not found anything that helps me work out where to put the JB4 box itself, though there's a good chance I've done what my dear old mum would call "a boy look"... mmm, maybe she's sexist?

Anyone got any advice, pics, brackets, double sided sticky pads or even velcro designs that would help get it fitted into the engine bay  of an MY16 Superb III L&K 280PS estate?

Not something to worry about in the first place because:

a) you don't really get much flexibility in terms of position. The combination of all the harness means there is really only one place to tuck it away and that's between airbox and battery.

b) the above position provides almost a natural "pocket" for it for a snug fit without resolving to velcro tapes, pads etc. it won't be going anywhere once put there.

Excellent, thank you so much

As newbie states, it fits perfectly between the airbox and battery, with cables threaded underneath the pipe. Here's my JB1 box with the arrow.

Ahh, super, I wondered with that unusual +ve terminal fitting if it would go but that pic is perfect, thank you.

So now if you could pop over and make my engine bay look as clean as yours please?  ;)

Actually, the car is new and is four days old from delivery. So easy fix for you: get a new car and your engine bay will look just as shiny!!
