Undecided between a 2.0 TSI and the PHEV iv 1.4

Featured Replies

About to buy a second hand Skoda elegance estate sportline 2.0 TSI with about 5k on the clock. For a bit more money I could buy a new (or demo) Octavia estate SE L iV 1.4. I know they're different specs etc but the car I buy will do a lot of short trips and it would be great to drive on electric for those. I will also do a few motorway trips each year (Range about 300 miles), hence why the 2.0 TSI is also appealing.

Anyone own a 1.4 iv PHEV? OK on the motorway?

Thanks for any help

S

Hi,

do not have an Octavia but a Superb iV and as my work mileage is 20 the Iv is great (I get 5 hours at night at 5.5p/Kw) so running cost is very low. But once on a motorway it will switch to the ICE with some EV mode. Overall I an very happy and if you boot it when both drives come it it goes very well.
