Drive the Deal

Featured Replies

Ok, so i've read lots about them, they seem great!

Although, how many of you have used them to buy your Skoda, or others cars?

I wish to buy my Skoda from them, but dont want to be the first!

I did. First class service... No worries mate!

got one on order at present, only slip up as been due to Skoda factory themselves, but DTD and their appointed dealer have been A1 so far.

No worries mate. That's where mines from and although you may wait a little longer if options are ticked, well worth it IMHO

Thanks a lot guys for your consistent help! I have a habbit for always wanting to be reassured! " Pat on the back, im off to play "

I used them too back in sept 04 for mine, great service. :)

Get their price & then try a few dealers to see if they will match it, For our Superb we got an even better price off of Broadspeed & a local dealer when put up against a few other dealers ended up the cheapest of the lot beating the internet prices. ALSO make sure the car is a full UK spec one & has the full 3 year warranty, Skoda only give 2, Skoda UK add the third.

We found some Superbs that had the **** nav missing yet were UK spec

just been on the site and had a look round... looks like a good deal....

Whats the current wait for a VRS through drive the deal?

I think DTD use Simpsons Skoda in Colne as one of their main suppliers.

Not sure whether you will get a better price going direct to them?

4/5 weeks for standard car. Up to 12 weeks for option fitted car as they come direct from the factory.

Does option fitted mean metallic paint also, as its classed as an option?

All depends what there is in dealer stock available for release, the more unique your spec the more likely a factory order, same for any dealer, or car maker for that matter.

I bought my 06 vRS through simpsons skoda in march and they matched the DTD price. I can thoroughly recommend them!

Cheers

Simple Question. WHY?
Simple answer. Sales Manager told me so. Something to do with an arrangement with DTD. I guess they've changed that arrangement now eh ?

I have no idea or interest in what the old arrangement was, whether they still have an arrangement, whether the current arrangement is any different if they do have one, whether they have met this week's / month's / year's sales targets, whether they have a bit of flexibility if they haven't etc etc. But I suspect neither do you.

All I was saying its it might be worth a try. It appears the orginal poster (Snoopie) thought it was worth a try, and is satisfied with the outcome (whatever that outcome may be).

I spoke to Simpsons earlier and they didnt want me to place an order through them directly so I have just placed an order for a bog standard VRS in Black Magic for £11361. I would have liked cruise but it would have been a factory order meaning up to 12 week wait, if I miss it I will get it fitted later.

Cant wait, just got to sell my Toledo in the mean time. Any offers!?!

I took the DTD price to several Dealers in the North West (I couldn

does the dtd price include delivery ?

also lady elanore can i be cheeky and ask what the bury skodas price was to beat dtd.

thanks.

Yeah the price includes delivery.

So, if you pay your deposit for the car, and they deliver it to your house, but its not to your satisfaction, what happens in that case?

Yeah the price includes delivery.

I'd check that. The price will probably include ' delivery' to the supplying dealer but not dekivery to your door. All te time I was gavering quotes from the various internet brokers, they never quoted prices that included 'to your door' delivery.

Might not be a problem if you live close to the supplying dealer though!
