They are definitely going up in value. You can still buy cheap ones but I don't see the point as you always end up spending loads to get them up to a acceptable standard 

I ignore these altogether now. It’s not hard to pick up a sub 100k for about £1200/£1400. It would have to be very special and in absolute mint condition to be asking good money. You’ve got this one and two estate near 3.5k at the moment and they won’t sell for that. A decent estate will go for 2k.
There are few common people that are selling Fabia’s and Octavia’s for top money and making a song and dance about it. For now, it’s not quite there yet. Give it a few more years with the way that they’re getting broken every week.
