coding mistake. Help me.

Featured Replies

Nice to meet you.
I am from Japan.

There is almost no information about VCDS in Japan. Please help me. I have my 2011, audi TT 8J.

I installed the new version of VCDS software and installed the warning lights on the door panel, so I had to code it.

I set the VCDS connector on the car and connected the USB to the PC.

it didn't recognize the USB, so I tried again and again.

Then I made a mistake.

I pressed the "Restore Default" button.

I rushed to check the car's operation and found that the power windows were down even though they were up, and the electric mirrors did not open.

The blinkers on the mirrors did not flash either.

The window now lowers slightly when opening the door and does not move down when opening it.

Also, the window now moves down halfway when opening the electric roof, but only on the passenger side.

To my annoyance, I did not back up the vehicle first. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Thank you very much.

Can you please post a complete autoscan from VCDS so that people can see how the car is coded?

Assuming your VCDS cable is genuine, it's probably worth posting on Rosstech forums too: https://forums.ross-tech.com/

They will have more experience with a Audi TT that most people here :)

as far as I am aware there is a log file that should show the long code before you changed it.

these files should be in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug if you installed it using defaults

Thanks for your advice to me. I cooled down again and tried setting it up in VCDS. I was able to fix the problem area this time! Thank you all.
