dpf light on so decided to go for run on motorway just before i reached motorway glow plug light started to flash went into limp home mode any suggestions?

I would get it scanned to see what code(s) are stored. Most likely you will need to get a service regen done. If you have access to vcds or obdeleven you can do this yourself. Or contact a dpf cleaning company who will clean the dpf and reset everything for you.

Hello ecomatt tried to regen with obd11 but wouldn't work for me have sent for vcds thanks for your help.

 

Try the following:-

 

1) Clear faults for engine
2) Change to EOL service mode
3) Login with code 27971
4) Basic Settings > Service DPF Regeneration (cant remember the exact wording)
5) Long press the green button (it will say it exited due to safety)
6) Turn off engine (ignition still on)
7) Turn on engine
8) Do steps 3 to 5 again
9) This time it will say "Not Active"
10) Press brake for a few seconds
11) Then let go of brake and press accelerator until status shows Active
12) Engine should be revving
