Limp mode then Check engine light

Featured Replies

Hi and thanks in advance

So I have a 2012 Superb with 1.6 tdi.

Today the car went to limp mode when warm and started blinking the Glow plug light.

I kept driving home and shut it off there. When I started it again it was good until it got warm again. And the third time I drove for a little less than a minute and then it went back into limp mode with the Glow plug light blinking and a static check engine light.

I haven't tried driving since then so I don't know if the check engine light will come again. I haven't gotten a chance to read the engines obd-II yet so no codes for reference.

The car idles smoothly and runs good.

Uses a lot more diesel than normal.

No weird smells from the exhaust.

No noises.

No DPF light.

Any ideas what could be wrong With it?

I will update this post tomorrow when I get a chance to read the engine.

Too many possibilities to speculate on without a fault scan.

Yes I thought so.

I planned on having it scanned today but I got sick so it might be a day or two until I can have my friend read it.

So I had the car read to day.

And this is what I got.

It had a little rough idle this morning and I suspect it might be a carbon buildup in the EGR module's pintle. So it does not close properly.

I don't know what the last code reports but I'm reading trough the interwebs for answers.

Any tips?

Pics of codes and one pic of my Belly below. So you know what you're working with
