  1. I wouldn’t personally, I don’t know for certain but I can’t see VAG group missing an opportunity like that to void a warranty and save cash.
  2. I have had an intermittent start issue with a 2024 Scala SE 1.5 TSI. Often press start button, car tries to crank to no avail and engine management light comes on and occasionally EPC light. After a few tries it’s starts and no warning lights at all. I called out Skoda Assist and it seems that a TPI was issued on the 04/11/24 detailing a software problem. So, if you are having similar problems give Skoda Assist a call as they will pass this information onto your preferred authorised service centre after they have attended, then you can be added to the list. I’ve attached part of the breakdown report I got after Skoda assist attended. I hope this helps some people.
  3. I’m currently going through the motions of having called Skoda assist out, they have sent my breakdown report to my preferred service partner, I’ve booked in for the 27/11/24, emailed Skoda Uk customer service & Skoda global to try and get info on the TPI and subsequent update etc. Similarly to yourself trying to make myself known on the system kind of thing. Although your faults are much more complex than the ones I’ve had..so far 😬. fingers and toes crossed for us all.
  4. As an aside, does anybody understand the TPI reference numbers? The technician remarked about it being ‘2’. What does the ‘ /2’ mean?
  5. I think that a whole host of software issues are appearing all across the Skoda range. I have recently picked up a Skoda Scala SE 1.5 tsi, registered in July with 1000 miles on the clock. Had it three days( bought it on 01/11/24) and the engine management light came on, then epc. The fault is intermittent and sometimes no warning lights and everything starts as normal. I called out Skoda assist and on their second visit in three days the technician found a TPI saying it’s a known software fault see below.
  6. Hello all. just had ŠKODA assist out due to an ongoing intermittent start issue. on a 2024 Scala. If anyone has been having similar issues there has been an issue with the software identified by VAG group & a notice put out on 04/11/2024. Basically you have to wait for the fix. Might be worth calling out Skoda assist as your details will be forwarded to your dealership and you can be added to the list.
  7. Hello all. I have a 2024 Scala SE 1.5 tsi. Had an issue where the emission control fault warning light ( looks like a check engine light) would appear on some start ups and not others. Now this has developed into the above mentioned light PLUS the EPC light and car won’t start. Got a VW tech coming out via Škoda assist. Anyone else had this scenario? Many thanks.
  8. I’ve had the same issue on my Karoq that I picked up in December just gone. It’s in for its third attempt at rectification today. This time it’s the SOS control unit being replaced. The first two occasions they did a system 30 reset and then a software update. Hopefully I might get a positive result with the replacement unit.
