Octavia 2007 FSI ambiente 1.6 petrol. 

 

The reg is XX07 so you'd assume it was a 2007 reg however many sites list it as a 2008 car such as Eurocarparts etc. Not sure why.

Firstly, saloon or estate?  I'm assuming saloon for you.  Secondly, bars or rack? Finally, new and shiny or secondhand and functional?

Pretty sure it's a hatchback, as the boot is attached to the roof. I need the fittings and bars so I guess rack. And as cheap as possible so second hand is fine .

I've helped a lot of people on this forum.

 

I've looked and looked at racks but it's still not conclusive if the racks I found will actually fit, it seems to be a minefield. 

 

So I thought I'd ask here, maybe someone has the same car.

Asking usually involves a question mark, "Find me a roof rack" is an order or command.

 

Your later remark "I need the fittings and bars so I guess rack. And as cheap as possible so second hand is fine." is defining the parameters and further adds to the impression that you really are expecting others to find a new or second hand roof rack for you.
