Koni str.t and H&R spring kit from Larkspeed, rear spring mount issues.

Featured Replies

Hello guys, I picked up a koni Str.t & H&R spring kit from Larkspeed, (God help me when I get to the front).

All off at the rear & assembling the kit, I also purchased some new OEM rear spring top mount rubbers but no way can I get them to fit inside the spring, (also with originals which are the same).

The top of the spring is curled more tightly than the OEM spring which means a smaller hole for mounting the rubber,  (hopefully my pic explains), equally where the base of the spring sits in the trailing arm it won't slot over & around the raised cup as the spring is coiled too tightly at the end.

For those of you that have done this before may I ask how you got around the rear, top rubber mount, & base mounting?

I did manage to crush one of the rubbers in using lots of fairy liquid but it was all distorted & then 10secs later popped out.

I'm starting to thing I have incorrect springs, for the life of me I am unable to see how they fit.

Many thanks

Pete
