VRs Seat Comfort?

Featured Replies

I’ve been offered a VRs as a replacement for my 1.5 SEL first edition. I noted the seats are dramatically different both in terms of material and also they are not electric.  I’ve sat in MK 3 VRs which look similar, but I was disappointed to see they had very limited adjustability, with no tilt.

Is this true of the MK 4 VRs seats?  Are they really that limited in adjustment.

I appreciate its subjective but how do the compare in terms of comfort?

Most of my driving will be long motorway journeys so wanting good comfort.

Ok so not electric but i find them as comfortable as my prev car the Superb sportline. Good bolstering.

Just done 600 mile round trip in mine and no complaints

Very comfortable I have to say, Good for long journeys, not sure why you’d need electric seats unless you routinely have different people driving your car, I’ve not changed my seating position once in 4000 miles.

The standard vRS seats seemed fine enough for me on an hour long test drive that took in city/urban streets as well as a motorway and a short blast down a country road.  We get power seats as standard with a tilt facility in New Zealand.

If comfort is paramount, you may wish to consider an upgrade to the massaging seats, which come with bolsters in leather and are electrically adjusted.  It is quite a pricey option, though worth it as the added support given by the extendable under thigh cushion adds to the comfort level.
