Skoda Kodiaq does not fall under the fixed pricing servicing?

Featured Replies

I was told by Citygate Watford that Skoda Kodiaq does not fall under the fixed pricing servicing.
And a 40k mile service would require the following
Oil & Inspection £187.77
Pollen Filter £63.91
Air Filter £56.97
Spark Plugs £144.04
Skoda Environmental £7.50
Total £460.17

So the prices here https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicin ... ixed-price are not for Kodiaqs?

Is this true?

Not all dealers sign up to the Skoda fixed price servicing scheme. For them to say that the Kodiaq is not included in the scheme is simply not true.

I would find another dealer, or independent vag garage.

£63.91 for a pollen filter! :o

Take it down to Transcity Skoda in Walthamstow, they definitely do fixed-price servicing on the Kodiaq.

Unbelievable what some dealers try on.

Don't forget you'll need a DSG service too - that's another £215. And if you've bought this car second-hand, double-check that it's had a Haldex / 4x4 service done at 3 years / 30k.

Its getting out of hand,

I called Skoda Customer Service, they said there is nothing in T&C that says Kodiaq is not part of Fixed Pricing

I called CityGate Main Switchboard, they said they particpate in Fixed Pricing.

I called CityGate Watford, waiting for them to call me back as they are too busy.

Skoda said they will raise this issue with Management and they will get back to me in 40hrs.

Another oddity is the service schedule doesn’t show the air filter at 4 years or 40k miles, and what is environmental (disposal of technicians coffee cup or similar ?)

The Skoda Fixed Price Servicing & Maintenance @ Participating dealerships is on cars 3-10 year old on Fixed Service Intervals.

Air filter changed to 6 years / 60,000 miles instead of at 4 years / 40,000 miles which was the 2nd Major Service.

Obviously it should be checked at each service.

Now with the new scheme that would be the Extended Service each 3 years at least.

I’d also ask Watford why they don’t do fixed price servicing when their Slough branch does. I would suspect it’s more a case of someone not knowing what they are doing.
