fixed gps but now have airbag light on

Featured Replies

thanks to this forum, I sorted the fault on my sat nav, it was the antenna at fault and an ebay purchase for a tenner sorted it out.

I finished the install leaving the new magnetic one under the dash behind the sat nav, checked it worked then refitted everything.

Only problem when I turned on the ignition a airbag warning came on, now got to figure out what I touched to bring that on!

Will I have to take it to the main dealer to find out what went wrong?

It will be the keyswitch to disable the passenger airbag having been disconnected with the ignition turned on.

I'm not sure if a basic OBDII reader will be able to reset the fault code, VCDS will.

Find someone local with vcds (there is a search on here somewhere) or for not much money you could get a obdII adapter and use carista to reset the light.

Do a search on here for carista for more details as others (including me ) have had the same issue

thanks for response as JR said it was the passenger airbag, I should have switched off before removing sat nav.

local garage turned off the warning and everything back to normal now
