Problem with driver and passenger electric windows

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have 2009 Skoda Octavia and have had it for three years. In the last week I have seen a problem with the electric window controls from the driver switches.

When trying the one click open for the driver or passenger windows, the windows only open by an inch at a time and sometime it doesn't move at all. If I hold both the passenger and driver windows at the same time they go all the way down and up without a problem.

I have looked at the forum and tried the open and hold for 10 seconds and close and hold for 10 seconds but it hasn't worked. Does anyone have any more ideas on what the problem could be please?

Thank you for your help

Nitesh

If all other door switches function correctly I suspect the driver's door switch is worn or fouled e.g. rainwater/soft drink, possibly it could be taken apart for inspection/cleaning/testing.

Yes if other switches ok,then the most obviously is driver's switch at fault..

Thank you @MicMac and @AVHreplica for the replies. All the other switches work, so I will check out the driver switch. Thanks again.
