Parking ticket holder

Featured Replies

One of the very few things I dislike about the karoq is the windscreen mounted parking ticket holder! For me personally it seems a bit of a distraction and I catch it  in the corner of my eyesight. Is there any way of either removing it or adjusting it so it’s higher or lower on the screen?

Generic info.

It should only be screwed to the A pillar - in one particular place.

Just remove the trim (with some trim removal tools and maybe by unscrewing the airbag indication clip) and then you should be able to remove the poor, inoffensive item. ;)

Whether it was weak, or brittle through age, but I accidentally broke the parking ticket clip off while cleaning the screen on Mrs B’s Fabia when it was approx 6 years old, much to her annoyance.

So you might not have long to wait before there’s an easier way than described above.

Please note, however, that using this method means that the car can’t be returned to OE spec when sold or at lease end, which might affect its value to some extent.

(Apologies for taking the Mick a bit, but I use the clip a lot, as it stops the tickets finishing up on the floor)

Same happened with my Fabia, really missed it. If it needs trim renewal seems replacing a 5p piece o f plastic would be an expensive repair at a dealer.

Jee I thought I was picky, It's not a parking ticket holder it's a blue badge holder and it's brilliant not had one since my Citroen C5:biggrin:

The trouble is, now you’ve ‘gone public’, the clip will grow and grow, and really annoy you every time you get in the car.....

Or worse still in that gap between the windscreen and the dash!
