Spotify crashing Carplay

Hi all,

 

quite often (~50% of the time), when I try to play some music via carplay wireless, spotify hangs the whole carplay. I.e. after 30 seconds of 'not playing any sound' but showing me the name of a song, the infotainment system goes black. At that point, I can't use it at all (google maps etc.). The only way to get it working again is to turn off the car and turn it on again.

 

Is there some solution to this behavior? It sucks big time to be honest ...

I am android auto user and i can say 100% Android auto speed depends on phone not on car.
so restart your iphone and make sure its running ok.

I’ve had the same issue over the last couple of journeys. The only way that I’ve been able to solve it is by doing a ‘service station reset’ (lock the car and nip to the loo/grab a coffee).

It’s extremely annoying!
