2.0 tdi 170 actuator on inlet manifold

Featured Replies

Hi There,

I have fitted an aftermarket inlet manifold and actuator. Previously the 2 could only be purchased together but you can now buy seperately. Having replaced both the eml has returned. I believe the garage only erased the fault code and plugged in the new.

Does anybody know if it needs to be coded in..? I was told that the new actuator may be faulty.

I have bought another and plugged this in without connecting and this seemed to work OK but the eml remained on.

Out of Interest where is the sensor for the inlet manifold is it all built into the actuator motor unit itself....?

Many thanks in advance.
